I spent 3 weeks in Morocco in 1990 on holiday. Wildlife wasn’t high on the agenda of things to do which probably explains why I saw only two species of mammals that I can remember: Barbary Macaques near a well known waterfall, and Naked Rumped Tomb Bats (at least that is what I think they were) feeding around the lights on a guest house in the Sahara.
