I’ve heard that Kogia sp. are sometimes seen from Florida – Bahamas ferries. Sounds plausible, since both species get strandled on Florida’s eastern coast regularly.
Hmm… the first half of my comment disappeared somehow. I was saying that I’ve seen pygmy right whale in Beagle Channel a few years ago, so now Kogia is on top of my wish list for marine mammals 🙂
