Mammal watching in Northern Mexico

Dear All,

I wrote a brief text about mammal watching in Northern Mexico (south to Nayarit and San Luis Potosi): http://dinets.info/NMexico.pdf

This is just a draft. I haven’t been in Northern Mexico for ten years, my coverage was rather spotty, and I’m yet to see any of the island endemics of the Sea of Cortez. So if you have been to that area, please share your experiences in comments – I’ll add your information and send the updated version to Jon for permanent storage on his site.

Just found that my taxonomy (last checked in November) is already outdated. White-ankled mouse has been split (along the Rio Grande), and on the next ASM meeting somebody’s going to present data showing that Peninsular and Cave Myotis are conspecific.
