Woodchucks Galore!
Andrew Block asked me to report the following Woodchuck plague – sounds pretty impressive! It appears to have been a bumper year for rodents big and small out east.

Yesterday while driving around in Putnam and Dutchess Cos., NY, the Woodchucks were everywhere! I must have had a total of 15 or more along US & S. Rtes. 44, 55, 82, and 9, several local roads in the area, and the Taconic Pkwy. They were along roadsides and in yards and were adults and youngsters. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many.
