    As my brother lives in Hanoi, I had been hoping to have a chance at Tonkin Snub-nosed Monkey. What kind of foot wear did you use there? Were rubber boots necessary or are hiking boots fine? Can this trip be arranged directly through Dr. Quyet Le Thac or did you have to go through Luc Nguyen?

    Dr. Quyet is the guy to ask. If you don’t already have it I can email you his number if you need it. The rangers use rubber boots but I’d recommend hiking boots.

    I emailed Dr. Quyet last year to see the monkeys. I normally don’t like to complain about prices when the money goes to conservation but Dr. Quyet quoted me $4000 for a 3 day trip. Seems excessive.

    Had the same, over 5000 dollars for a almost a week (2 persons)
