  • Armenia

I spent a day driving through Armenia in 2017. I didn't look for, nor see, any mammals. But it is a beautiful country and somewhere I want to return to.

  • Australian Capital Territory

Canberra the ' bush capital' has good numbers of mammals living in and around the city centre. Eastern Grey Kangaroos are easy to see in many places – they are in just about any of the city’s nature parks. They are plentiful around Campbell Park (near the airport and behind the Defence Department Offices) for example...

  • Austria

I spent a couple of nights in Vienna in October 2016. I loved the city, which is now one of my favourites in Europe, but didn't do much mammal watching.

  • Bangladesh

Bangladesh, 2013: Cheryl Antonucci's ill-fated trip to Bangladesh, with the mammalian highlights (in between the lowlights of roadblocks and striking protesters) including Phayre's Langurs, Malayan Giant Squirrel and Greater Bandicoot Rats.

  • Belarus

Belarus is famous for its Internet Brides, its 'dictator' and, umm.... Arriving into Minsk you are greeted by stony-faced passport control officers who pore in grim silence and with painstaking detail over each and every passport.

  • Belgium

I haven't been mammal watching in Belgium yet, though have seen many strange beasts in Brussels! But I've included community reports from those that have.

  • Belize

I visited Belize in 1989 and spent a night at the Bermudan Landing Howler Monkey Sanctuary. A great little place, set up to protect the Guatemalan Black Howler Monkeys that were easily seen. I also saw what was probably a Bottlenose Dolphin en route to Caye Caulker.
