Mammals of Madagascar Part 2 (of 4)

Hi people,

In the summer of 2023 I went on a birdwatching trip of five weeks, chasing as many mammals as I could! I got to a whopping 77 species of mammals, of which most were also caught on film. I will upload one video per week.

Here is part 2 (of 4):

Species depicted in part 2:

Daraina (part 2): Daraina Sportive Lemur, Aye-aye, Tavaratra Mouse Lemur.

Nosy Be: Black Lemur, Nosy Be Sportive Lemur, Nosy Be Mouse Lemur.

Antanambao-Antontorona: Blue-eyed Black Lemur.

Bemanevika: Probably Seal’s Sportive Lemur (other possibilities: Gray’s Sportive Lemur or even an undescribed species), an undescribed form of “Greater Dwarf Lemur”, probably Marsh’s Mouse Lemur (other possibilities Montagne d’Ambre Mouse Lemur or even an undescribed species).

Ankarafantsika (visit number one): Coquerel’s Sifaka, Common Brown Lemur, Grey Mouse Lemur, Milne-Edward’s Sportive Lemur.

Katsepy Lighthouse: Crowned Sifaka, Rufous Brown Lemur, Mongoose Lemur.

I used the services of Patrick Richard, which I found on mammalwatching.com! I highly recommend his services! His expertise lies in finding and identifying mammals, reptiles and amphibians. He is also very good at organising your trip!

Best regards,
