Black-footed ferrets

I am wanting to try to photograph the black-footed ferrets. I’m thinking the Badlands NP might be my best chance. Has anyone been there and/or been able to photograph black-footed ferrets? Anyone know of a guide or local wildlife photographer who might be able to assist me?

I live in Oregon (USA) & have loved photography since picking up a camera in high school. It took me many years to be able to afford a decent camera & earn enough money to begin my love of travel. Now, many years later, I am winding up my “traveling days” but hope to accomplish a few “bucket list” goals before focusing more on US travels. Wildlife, big cats especially, and “mom’s & babies” are what I love most but I love photographing all wildlife.

    Hey there! I actually saw them and helped release them in Seligman Arizona with Arizona Game and Fish. I’m still working on my trip report about it, look out for it soon! You should reach out to them and see if you can volunteer with them. They do volunteer spotlighting every so often, and I happen to know 10 adorable black footed ferrets were just released there in October last year. In my to report I’ll be happy to give you the email to reach out to them, they’re super friendly! I hope you get to see them, they are one of my favorite species ever. Hope this helps a little 🙂
