No plans for September yet? Join our tour to see some of the coolest South American mammals!
Transportation disruptions around the world have resulted in the cancellation of one of our 2026 tours. As the dates fall during the prime mammal-watching season, we do not want to miss any time in the field. Therefore, we are offering a 20% discount on any private tour scheduled between 5 and 22 September. The itinerary will be tailored to your target species and your time and budget requirements.
Wild Chaco Expeditions is a small team of zoologists and wildlife guides based in Paraguay, offering dedicated tours focused on watching and photographing bizarre xenarthrans, carnivores, primates, rodents, bats, and many other mammals of the Chaco ecoregion. Thanks to our ongoing exploration of the vast Paraguayan wilderness, we know where to find specific species and which tactics maximise sighting success.
For close-up encounters and excellent photographic opportunities, we visit a network of waterholes scattered throughout the driest parts of the Chaco. On request, we can easily incorporate birdwatching into the itinerary. In addition to the Dry and Wet Chaco, we also run trips to other fascinating ecoregions in Paraguay, such as the Atlantic Forest and the Cerrado.

Our tours directly support the conservation of these remarkable places and the wildlife that inhabits them.
