Wild Vietnam: Rare Primates & Mammals 2-Week Expedition, Upcoming Dates: 23 March – 5 April 2026
Now this is exciting! Next Continent are based in Vietnam and are now running some serious mammalwatching trips that search for species large and small. They are offering a discount to people who book any of their tours through mammalwatching, because – I suppose – mammalwatchers are now famous worldwide for being such relaxed, polite and always happy clients. Maybe.
Here are more details about one of their tours in particular, a 2 week trip rare primates & mammals tour starting 23 March 2026. It looks excellent. I would love to get back to Vietnam.

Next Continent are running our annual comprehensive mammal and primate watching tour of Vietnam. This is a 2-week expedition from south to north in search of the country’s rarest and most elusive species. Designed for dedicated mammal watchers, this group tour targets an exceptional range of species, from endangered and endemic primates, large mammals, squirrels to civets, pangolins, bats, and more. With expert guides, spotlighting sessions, thermal scopes, and access to remote forest habitats, this is Vietnam’s ultimate mammal and primate expedition.
This expedition is led by two expert guides and limited to just 3–6 participants, ensuring the best chances for quality mammal encounters and photography opportunities. The tour is fully inclusive, covering accommodation, domestic flights, private driver & vehicle throughout tour, all specialist equipment, park entry, conservation donations and more. Our focus is ambitious: targeting 15 primate species and over 60 other mammals through a combination of spotlighting, thermal imaging, small mammal trapping, boat trips, and treks across several major national parks and key nature reserves. Every tour also directly supports local conservation initiatives, including GreenViet and more.
On our website you’ll find the detailed itinerary, target species list (with likelihood notes), information on photography, extension options, and climate details.
