Join us in West Papua in May 2026 with Carlos Bocos guiding!
Hello all! Staying in the theme of epic island getaways (ala Madagascar) I’m putting together a team to visit West Papua May 17th-June 3rd 2026.
There will be 5 of us total, plus the much-heralded Carlos Bocos as guide. We will be following the same basic itinerary that Carlos perfected with Jon Hall and co. in 2023. (see trip report here https://www.mammalwatching.com/2023/07/22/west-papua-2023/) with a few nice additions. Like Jon’s trip, it will also include bat mist-netting.
I have 4 spaces reserved, so I’m looking for one more person. Ownership of/experience with a thermal imager is definitely preferred, as there will be a lot of nocturnal critters to uncover.
