Possible Oncilla Split, Brazil

I take no position on splitting / lumping here, but will just report a claim to split oncilla. Here is a link:

    Basically what they are saying is that oncilla is not a species at all – it’s an assembly of color morphs of other species 😉 Also, it’s news to me that pampas cat occurs in northern Brazil. I’ll have to look at the original paper when I have a chance.
