It looks like I’ll have about a week in Morocco and Western Sahara in July. Has anyone been able to contact/visit Safia Reserve recently? How’s the road? They reportedly have a few dama gazelles and addaxes outside of the enclosure already, although there’s high mortality from poaching and feral dogs.
Also, has anyone tried spotlighting the roads past Aoussard? Are they open/driveable? The ones to Agounit and Tichla look particularly interesting on the map.

I stayed in Aousserd for 2 nights in end of December and the road past the settlement is not open. It´s a heavy military area and you are not allowed to drive any further than to Aousserd. There is checkpoints.
Thanks!
We were told the same in April. We spoke to the Army in Aoussard, who advised that we were not allowed to go further.
Thanks!
