No places near Panama City to see squirrel monkeys. Nearest place with excellent/guaranteed sightings is over the border in Costa Rica.
I don’t think you can get from Quito to lowland rainforests in two hours, unless you fly.
Coca in Ecuador is 5 hours away and it’s an easy place to get wildlife tours. Saw squirrel monkeys as well as 5 other primate species there. Don’t know of anywhere closer with lowland jungle.
