Advertising: Last Minute Spaces on a Feb/March 26 Cruise through Undiscovered Indonesia

Last minute places just opened up for what sounds like a great cruise from Sulawesi to Raja Ampat.

Our Naturetrek cruise, on board MV Mermaid I, explores around some of the lesser-known parts of Indonesia, starting in Sulawesi and finishing at the stunning islands of Raja Ampat in the far east of Indonesia.

For this 11-night /12-day cruise on board the exclusively chartered liveaboard vessel, we will travel east from Bitung (in north Sulawesi), along the west coast of Halmahera, by the Kofiau Islands and finally around the islands of the Raja Ampat archipelago. The coral reefs here are the richest in the world, and we will aim to snorkel each day. We will also go ashore in search of some fabulous local birdlife, including the Wilson’s Bird-of-Paradise.

Out at sea we will be looking for the wealth of cetaceans that call this area home, including Bryde’s and Omura’s Whales, as well as a superb diversity of smaller species. Before boarding the boat, we will spend a day in Manado (North Sulawesi) and will have the option to visit the Tangkoko reserve, where Black Crested Macques and Tarsiers can be seen.
