Advertising: The Plant4BorneoElephants Project site is BACK
In 2018 1StopBorneo Wildlife partnered with a private plantation in Tawau to plant trees in a wildlife corridor which connects the large forests of Danum and Tawau and do afternoon four wheel drive safaris to look for elephants. From 2018-2022 1StopBorneo Wildlife did 200 safaris and saw the elephants almost 190 times, creating the reputation that this is the best place to see wild elephants on Borneo. But in 2022 the plantation safaris were closed to the public for various reasons.

Now, in 2026, 1StopBorneo Wildlife is back and running trips here again. People can technically do a day trip but it’s better to combine a visit here with a trip to the primary rainforest of Tawau Hills Park. Visit this ‘new’ mammal watching site on Borneo, make it a part of your trip and support reforestation and elephant conservation at the same time!
