Antarctic Peninsula Summer Season Report 2025/26

The following report contains mammal sightings from the 11 Antarctic Peninsula expeditions I worked on this season from November 2025 through to March 2026. I hope that this information will give mammal watchers a good idea of the sightings that are seen across an entire season and when the best times are to visit the peninsula are. I have also provided information about the key locations to look out for certain mammals. In total 18 marine mammal species (plus three groups of unidentified beaked whales species) were seen across the season including Orca, Leopard Seals, Long-finned Pilot Whales, Burmeister’s Porpoise, Hourglass Dolphins, South Right Whales and more.
