Congo Brazzaville Wildlife trip report by Nick Buys

The Republic of Congo offers an unforgettable wildlife experience in the heart of Central Africa. During a week spent exploring the country, mostly in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, we encountered spectacular rainforest scenery and an impressive variety of wildlife. With no fixed mammal-watching targets, the focus was simply on exploring the forest and enjoying unexpected encounters, from Western Lowland Gorillas visiting a forest clearing daily to elusive duikers, Forest Elephants and a magnificent Bongo. It was a memorable glimpse into one of Africa’s most rewarding rainforest destinations.
