Join Me In Sri Lanka July 2-15 (update)

I posted a while ago looking for joiners for a Sri Lanka trip but I was pretty scant on details still and the dates have since changed so thought I’d try again.

Looking for people to join me for a trip to Sri Lanka from July 2nd to 15th with the one and only Chinthaka De Silva. This trip has been carefully planned to avoid the Southwestern monsoon that will, likely, be hitting the other side of the island at that time.

Itenerary

Day 1 – Arrive and get over jet lag

Day 2 to morning of Day 5 – Kitulgala

Day 5 – morning of Day 10 – Sigiriya

Day 10 – Day 13 – Wilpattu

Day 14 – Adios

The plan includes a mix of daytime searches and a lot of spot lighting

Potential Mammals

The primary target species in Kitulgala and Sigiriya will be Indian Pangolin (Chinthaka has built a reputation for being “the guy” for finding this species). Other trip targets include purple-faced leaf monkey (2x different sub species), tufted grey langur, red slender loris, grey slender loris, toque macaque, rusty spotted cat, fishing cat, jungle cat, leopard, sloth bear, Sri Lankan (Indian) Elephant, a few different civets, multiple squirrels, multiple ungulates, multiple bats, and a bunch of other stuff.

Price

Cost is $3100/person (sharing, single room for additional cost). Includes lodging, guiding, and meals.
