I’m thrilled to let you know about my initiative for 2026… My Big Cat Year… For a short interview and teaser see MyBigCatYearklein engelse ondertiteling It combines my own longing for pristine nature, wildlife, and adventure with the desire to make a difference in the protection of that same nature and wildlife. I hope I can delight and inspire others with the images and stories of this journey!
Great thanks to Mammalwatching.com, its founder Jon Hall, and those of you who contributed to the always inspiring Podcasts. To hear guides, researchers, scientists and others talking with Jon and Charles is always fascinating and with its humor it also brings a great smile to my face. Also thanks to all of you who have contributed to the many trip reports, it is always great to read those and to get a glimpse of nature and its wildlife in those faraway places. It is certainly one of the inspirations for undertaking My Big Cat year. Many thanks!!

So happy to see this happening Marc. Not only are you going to have a fabulous year but I believe you are going to do a lot for conservation and raise the profile of how mammalwatching is helping conservation. And that is important. I hope you will be able to appear on the podcast from time to time to share updates. Go get those 40 cats!
