Sorong guides and/or tour companies?
I’m going to be in Sorong for a couple of nights in March and so far haven’t had any luck contacting either Charles Roring or Absalom to arrange a tour. Has anyone had luck with any other guide/tour company out of Sorong? I’d like to see mammals, of course!, but I’m happy for any wildlife tour so I’m not just hanging out in the hotel for 2 days.
Thanks
Chad

I went out with Ata/@malagufuk01 in October for three nights and Absalom a couple of years ago. I saw an echidna within 30 minutes of the first night walk in Malagufuk. Both are good options but Absalom is easier to deal with and has better English. Malagufuk is closer to Sorong. It’s only about an hour drive and then a slip and slide 45-60mins along the boardwalk. Absalom’s Echidna village is an hour further. If you want Absalom’s whatsapp, just email me at sam.g.power@gmail.com

Hi! I was recommemded Opyor as i am organizing to visit the area end of June and he was recommended to me by Daniel Boyland who used his help to find the western long-beaked echidna, his guiding services are slightly cheaper than Absalom but uses the same method of sending a lot of people of the village to find the Echidna so it is still a bit pricey. I originally contacted him by whats app but i find easier to get a reply from instagram @malagufuk01.
He replies sometimes in english but i find it easier to use google translate english-indonesian for him to reply fast. Good luck!
