The Weekly Recap

Hello and welcome back to the weekly recap!

The first trip report of the week was Ian Thompson’s from Kenya. With 65 mammal species and highlights like Hirola, Bushpig, Ader’s Duiker and an adorable Golden-rumped Sengis, it was a great success!

He also spent a long weekend in California back in August, with 47 species such as a Fisher, Bushy-tailed Woodrat and Ringtail in only 5 days.

And Ian also shared a great report from Vietnam! It features mammals like Hatinh Langurs, Red-shanked Douc Langurs and Indochinese Ground Squirrel.

This report from Madagascar by Yirui Heng is full of great species like Eastern Woolly Lemurs, Lesser Hedgehog Tenrec, Milne-Edward’s Sifaka and a cool photo of a little Spotted Fanaloka.

And the final trip report was this a brief one from a couple of Ficus Tours trips to the Western Ghats: some highlights include Lion-tailed Macaque, Mainland Leopard Cat, Grizzled Giant Squirrel and Grey Slender Loris.

Björn, currently planning an epic world trip for next year, would love any advice at all on mammalwatching in the following places: Costa Rica, Peru, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the UAE, India, Sri Lanka or South East Asia and Zambia. A real world trip!

Speaking of world trips, have a look at the join a trip page if there is something deeply wrong with you and your idea of the perfect christmas present is a mammal trip.
