Trip Report – Madagascar Mammalwatching Tour – Royle Safaris – November 2022

Late in 2023 Royle Safaris ran a successful trip to Central Magascar, visiting some of the key forests in the middle of the counry and running from east to west. We visited Palmarium, Andasibe, Mantadia, Ranomafana, Anja and Kirindy and saw 39 species of mammals including 26 species of lemur and some 3 species of Malagasy carnivores; ring-tailed vontsira, fanaloka and narrow-striped boky.

We also saw many species of birds (including several endemics) and a good haul of herps (39 species) including no less than 11 species of chameleon. If you are interested in visiting Madagascar you need only email us at info@royle-safaris.co.uk and we can provide more info to you.

Directly after this group tour Martin went north to visit some more forests and a seperate report of this trip will be published in due course.
