Tropical Birding: Ecuador EWT 2026 40 Mammal Species!

Hi everyone,

I just completed another amazing and successful enigmatic wildlife tour for Tropical Birding. These tours are aimed at focusing on mammals and reptiles/amphibians rather than birds. This tour brought us through the core of the Andes, both the western and eastern Andes slopes, and ended in the Amazon. We had some pretty unforgettable mammal encounters and a total of 40 mammal species. I did some pre and post tour mammal watching by myself which I will make a separate report about when I have a chance. My mammal highlights were Napo Saki, Amazon Pink River Dolphins, Fringe-lipped Bat, Western Lowland Olingo, Olinguito, Dark Four-eyed Opossum, Spectacled Bear, Western Pygmy Marmoset, and Golden-mantled Tamarin.

Enjoy!
