Western USA Road Trip, Summer 2025

Last summer I took a road trip through several states in the US visiting some amazing places and, primarily, looking for some cool species of mammal. I was joined by my Dad for the first part of it, as we drove from my home in Colorado Springs through New Mexico, Arizona, and into Southern California. We then split as I slowly worked my way up the state of California before heading back to Colorado.

Primarily New Mexico, Arizona, and California: Three weeks and 79 species including Northern Fur Seal, White-sided Jackrabbit, and Mojave Ground Squirrel

What a great trip! Makes me happy to see many of those spots are still reliable and to learn about some new places too. Thanks for taking the time to write all that up.

Great report!!! Enjoyed all of it! Made me recall so many awesome memories of my “Great Squirrel Safari of 2022!” Well done – especially for the Mojave GS. I dipped for that one
