Xinfrared T2 Pro Thermal Camera lightning to USB adapter??

Does anyone know how use the lightning-port (iOS) T2 Pro Thermal Monocular with a new (USB-C port) iPhone?
I bought the T2 Pro Thermal Monocular, based on the reviews posted on this forum, and was quite impressed.  I have used it in Arizona and New Zealand, and it allowed me to see and watch animals that normally would have run off as soon as a light was turned on.
I recently upgraded my iPhone from a 13 Pro Max (lightning port) to a 17 Pro Max (USB-C port), and realized that I need a lightning-to-USB-C adapter to use my monocular.  On the advice from the xinfrared webpage, I purchased an adapter (link below), and it does not work.  The IR Explorer app just shows a red and yellow dot in the middle of the screen moving back and forth and exchanging places.  The monocular never establishes a connection to the app. Every now and then I hear a faint clicking noise. When I add a female to male lightning wire between the monocular and the adapter (in order to use the handle assembly), the app never even recognizes that anything is plugged into it.
Has anyone here had any luck getting their lightning-port (iOS) T2 Pro Thermal Monocular with a new (USB-C port) iPhone?  And if so, how?
Thanks in advance!
Dave
