Latest Observations & previous highlights

Latest: Ornate and New Caledonian Flying Fox at, as the name implies, New Caledonia; Blainville’s Beaked Whale over the Jaun Fernandez Ridge. Favourites include, spotting an Aye-aye after I found gnawed nuts; sleeping out in Australia and waking with varies animals on me such as Dusky Antechinus and Spot-tailed Quoll; a large pod of Narwals and a dozen Polar Bears feeding on stranded Belugas on the Northwest Passage; Mountain Gorillas in Rhwanda 40 years ago; surrounded by painted dogs taking their pups on their first foray from their den; finding a Kimberley Rock Rat in the jaws of a Ghost Bat.
