I'm on a mission to see as many cetacean species in my lifetime as I can. After a wonderful trip to the Azores this year ran by Alex Meyer, this list now contains both Kogia species, Northern Bottlenose Whale, Sowerby's Beaked Whale and False Killer Whale, among other species..

A naturalist with MsC in Marine Ecology, interested in everything. Currently in Norway, but of Russian origin. For a long time, mammals were not a priority for me, outshined by marine life, herps and birds, but that has changed recently (thanks to my fiancee Katya and this site!). My favourite groups are marine mammals (whales, pinnipeds, sirenians and others), bats and small carnivores, particularly mustelids.
