We are a China-based travel company, based in Chengdu of Sichuan, specializing in mammal tours across China, including hotspots such as Sichuan, Qinghai, Tibet, Yunnan, Xinjiang, Hainan and more.

China Mammal Tour is the sister company of the well-established China Bird Tour so our team includes many experienced old-hands and we offer a wonderful wildlife experience based around well-chosen accomodation, reliable ground transportation, good food, an enjoyable atmosphere and – most importantly – some of the finest mammals in China!

Kevin Zhong started working as a bird and mammal watching guide in 2005. He has worked with the major international birding and mammal watching companies as well as the BBC and National Geographic.  He is also a wildlife photographer. 

Kevin Zhong is based in Chengdu, Southwest China. He is very familiar with the  species from the Tibetan-Qinghai Plateau, Sichuan, Gansu, Yunnan, and Xinjiang. 

Keyu Species: Panda, Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Pallas’s Cat, Chinese Mountain Cat, Wild Cat Golden Snub-nosed Monkey, Yunnan-Snub-nosed Monkey, Skywalker Gibbon, Sika Deer, White-lipped deer, Takin, Yak, Agarli, Blue Sheep, Ibex, Chiru(Tibetan Antelope), Tibetan Gazelle, Prezwaski’s Gazelle,  Kiang, Kulan, Prezwaski’s Horse, Chinese Serrow, Long-tailed Goral, Tufted Deer, Musk Deer,  Asian Black Bear, Brown Bear.  And most of the bird species of China.
