China Mammal Tour runs trips through Sichuan home to some incredible biodiversity including Giant Pandas, and the jaw dropping Tibetan Plateau, home to Snow Leopards and so much more.

We are a China-based travel company, based in Chengdu of Sichuan, specializing in mammal tours across China, including hotspots such as Sichuan, Qinghai, Tibet, Yunnan, Xinjiang, Hainan and more.

China Mammal Tour is the sister company of the well-established China Bird Tour so our team includes many experienced old-hands and we offer a wonderful wildlife experience based around well-chosen accomodation, reliable ground transportation, good food, an enjoyable atmosphere and – most importantly – some of the finest mammals in China!

Shiqu County, Sichuan, 2021: China Mammal Tour, 12 days &  20 species including Hog Badger, Chinese Mountain Cat, Snow Leopard, Pallas’s Cat and Lynx.

Sichuan and the Tibetan  Plateau, 2020: China Mammal Tour, 3 weeks & 29 species including Snow Leopard, two separate Lynx, Brown Bear, Pallas’s Cat and Sillem’s Rosefinch (which I gather is an exciting bird …).
