Current offerings include bear-focused journeys in the Americas and Asia, with more in the works! The trips we have available offer chances to see species such as brown and black bears in the Indian Himalaya, sloth bears and tigers on safari in central India, bears and wolves in Yellowstone, and Borneo’s big 5 mammals. We also offer specialized wildlife photography tours for any bear species, from sun bears to Andean bears and all in between. So if its on your list, we can get you any bear species! Our trips are built around patience, fieldcraft, and a strong understanding of animal behavior and ecology in small group settings.
Ursus Expeditions was founded and is led by Kevin Andrews, a conservation photographer specializing in the world’s eight bear species. He has spent years photographing bears across diverse landscapes, with a particular focus on locating and documenting rare species and subspecies. Ursus Expeditions is deeply committed to ethical wildlife practices and only operates expeditions where no baiting or manipulation occurs and the welfare of the animal is always the highest priority.
