Monkeys use field scientists as human shields against predators

This is quite an interesting article about monkeys using human shields when they worry about predation.

I remember hearing a story in Zambia about this working the other way around (sort of): hunters had shot a leopard in the night and the next day, when they went to collect the carcass, the local Baboons went crazy with alarm calls, presumably aimed in the hunters’ direction and presumably not realising the Leopard was dead
