Highlights (selected lifers) from Namibia and South Africa, Tropical Birding EWT trip (Keith Barnes) in Aug/Sep 2025 – Namibia: Ground Pangolin, Bat-eared Fox, Brown Hyena, Damara Dik Dik, Damara Ground Squirrel, Namib Round-eared and Bushveld Sengi, and multiple gerbils and rats/mice. South Africa: Aardwolf, Aardvark, Large-eared Mouse, Dassie Rat, Brants Whistling Rat, Barbour’s Rock Mouse, Pygmy Mouse, Greater Red Musk Shrew, and Heaviside’s Dolphin. Ohio (Aug 2025) – Meadow Jumping Mouse. Highlights (selected lifers) from two trips to Japan with Tropical Birding (Charley Hesse) – Japan (May 2025): The amazing Amami Rabbit, Japanese Giant Flying Squirrel, Amami Spiny Rat, Ryukyu Islands Tree Rat, Ryukyu Flying Fox, Bonin Flying Fox, Japanese Weasel, Japanese Raccoon Dog, and Bryde’s Whale. Japan (Jan/Feb 2025) – Japanese Macaque (Snow Monkey), Japanese Squirrel, Largha Seal, Sika Deer, Grey Red-backed Vole and Striped Dolphin. West Virginia (Nov 2024) – Woodland Jumping Mouse. Highlights (selected lifers) from Colombia (Jul/Aug 2024) with Corentin Rombeaut: Water Opossum, White-footed Tamarin, Cotton-top Tamarin, Santa Marta White-fronted Capuchin, Colombia Squirrel Monkey, Brumback’s and Gray-legged Night Monkey, Ornate Titi Monkey, Pacific Tent-making Bat, Common Black Myotis, and Santa Marta Rice Rat.
