WATCHING LEMURS IN THE EASTERN PART OF MADAGASCAR

This is our third visit to Madagascar. We are focusing mainly on lemurs in areas we didn’t visit on previous trips, or where we didn’t see certain species back then. The areas are Masoala. Tôlanaro. Lac Alaotra and around Andasibe. We were quite successful with 24 species of lemur seen. Yes, that is (much) lower than in a number of other reports on this website. But… given our way of traveling (relaxed, just specific areas, no thermal scope), that is perfectly logical.

I'm not a 'real' mammal watcher because I'm 'only' interested in ..... primates. I (almost) always organize the trips myself because it is great to find the primates myself. I travel slowly, so I have time to observe the primates. So my primate list will never reach that of the diehard mammal watchers ;-)
