Brazil Trip Report, August/September, 2026

I’ve always been a bit intimidated by travelling in Brazil. I remember heading to Emas National Park in early 2000, being unable to find a bus, hitch-hiking a ride in the back of a pickup and not being able to understand a word the driver was saying to me, unsure of where in the world I might be dropped off. Those memories are now largely overridden thanks to my latest trip to Brazil, a very successful venture with 70 identifiable mammal species seen, including 26 primate species.
