A puma, a tapir, and a stalking horse – final version

A while back we posted this story on mammalwatching.com of an interaction between a puma and a tapir that we recorded in Kaa Iya on a trip with Nick’s Adventures Bolivia. The article has now been published in Cat News, and I’m attaching it here in case anyone is interested in reading the final version.

I should point out that many IUCN specialist groups produce newsletters or journals and they are always looking for interesting material to publish. Given the varied places that mammalwatchers get to, it makes sense that they will see unique and unusual things such as new behaviours or new location records for species, and the Specialist Group newsletters are a good option for publishing these sightings. For instance, several of us recently submitted our photographic record of Ethiopian genet in Djibouti to the Small Carnivore SG newsletter. If you do have an interesting record but are not sure how to go about publicising it, feel free to reach out to Jon or me, as we might be able to find someone with paper writing experience to collaborate with you.
