South Africa is home to one of the richest mammal diversities in Africa, and this safari has been designed for experienced naturalists seeking far more than the standard African safari.
Our expertly guided safari focuses on wildlife encounters across a variety of habitats and ever-changing scenescapes.
Target highlights include: Caracal, Pangolin, Black-footed Cat, Brown Hyena, Aardvark, Aardwolf, Serval, Cheetah, Black Rhino, Honey Badger, Cape Fox, Striped Polecat, Southern African Hedgehog, Meerkat.
Other possibilities: the usual Lion, Leopard, Elephant, White Rhino, Buffalo, as well as Bontebok, Cape Grysbok, Cape Mountain Zebra, Bat-eared Fox, Cape Porcupine, Side-striped Jackal, African Wild Cat, various other antelopes, otters, mongooses, sengis, hares, rodents, and bats.
This safari is medium-paced to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities. We include many dedicated night drives and expert tracking within many of South Africa’s rare mammal hotspots.
