Mainly Kruger – South Africa 2025

My first “real” report with some nice species seen.

A trip where I was one of the “on ground” travel agents for a big travel agency in the Netherlands. This was a trip for non-mammalwatchers, but I managed to add some days of looking for special species. Highlights include spotted-necked otter, meller’s mongoose, eastern rock sengi and marsh mongoose. A total of 69 species were seen during 28 days. With some extra possibles that I wasn’t able to identify to species level.

Hello, really enjoyed reading your Kruger report. We were there same time as you and I believe we shared a leopard as it crossed the road and 3 very distant lions from one of the bridges. We also went up to Punda Maria and very disappointed that the water hole was empty. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip with over 40 lions, 7 leopards and just over 200 species of birds. Thanks for sharing your trip. What a small world !
