Request for help with rodent id, Ethiopia.
I’ve started the task of going through the forty years of notes to try to work out my world mammal list. It is proving to be a long job. Can anyone help with this from Gorgora, Ethiopia.

Gorgora is in range for Arvicanthis niloticus, A. abyssinicus, and possibly A. neumanni. It might be a little low for A. abyssinicus (which is mainly known from montane grassland from 2000m asl and above), and I’m not sure there are reliable records of A. neumanni from that exact spot, so I think A. niloticus is the most likely option (though the taxonomy likely needs an update)
