Rodent ID in Singapore (2024)

Hello everyone,

I have travelled  through Singapore for a week beginning of January. It was an extremely rainy week and that has impacted quite a lot the actual time spent looking for wildlife but we ended up seeing some 16-18 mammal species! We encountered quite a few rodents and I am struggling to identify most of them. Most of the sightings were brief and photography was challenging but I have some twenty pictures of some of the rats we observed. See attachment: 4 pages, 19 pictures and some 4-5 possible species seen.

Would you be able to help to identify these species? Any feedback on the tentative identification in the document?

I am a French biologist and I have cultivated a very strong interest for wildlife and mammals in particular since my early childhood (1,001 mammal species observed until May 2023 and more than 1,750 bird species). I have been lucky to travel the world to see animals in their natural ecosystems but also in captive settings.
