Streaked Dwarf Porcupine (Coendou ichillus) in the Iquitos area (northeastern Peru)

I recently photographed two Streaked Dwarf Porcupine (Coendou ichillus) 60 km south of Iquitos (northeastern Peru). These appear to be the first in situ records from northeastern Peru; C. ichillus is a poorly known porcupine (with bristle quills) confirmed from only nine sites (Ramírez-Chaves et al, 2020). I also photographed Long-tailed Porcupine (Coendou longicaudatus) at the same site but they don’t have bristle quills.
