Tomer’s Colombia Trip Report – January 2026

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to finally be able to post my trip report from Colombia!

As always, I write way too much, and try to include as many of my sub-par relevant photos of mammal species we saw along the way. Sometimes I use my friends’. Major props to Wild About Colombia, as I mention numerous times in the report! And of course to my group mates!

Enjoy:

Tomer Colombia Jan 2026

I just want to add that in November of 2024 I posted here, asking for participants to join my trips to South America – namely Bolivia and Colombia – two countries I had dreamt of visiting. I also mentioned that I was excited to meet up with Nick McPhee and Rob Smith, each in his respective ‘turf’. A year and a half later, I’m thrilled to say that all of it was exactly how I had imagined, and both Nick and Rob go straight up to the list of Top guides (and Ivan, too!), in 2 countries that are must-visit for any mammal watcher! I’m excited to have caught up on so many neotropical species I had missed in all my earlier travels to the region.

Cheers!

Tomer
