Founded in 1989, Espaço Talassa is the first whale watching company in the Azores. Born from the encounter between a former Azorean whaler and a French sailor united by their passion for the sea. Based in Lajes do Pico, next to the historic Whaler’s Museum, our multicultural team has spent over 35 years guiding visitors to unforgettable encounters with sperm whales, dolphins, and other marine life in their natural habitat. Join us in this encounters and for these mammals true lovers we have packages that combine several WW trips and/or outdoor tours.

More than a tour operator, we are a research and study base dedicated to cetacean conservation, involved in different projects with several universities and other entities.

Pico Island is one of the world’s top 10 whale watching destinations, don’t miss it.
