Romania Mammal Tour 2023 by Sakertours

We finally got aroud to finish the report of our record breaking (60 mammal species!) mammal tour in September 2023. If you interested how you can get 60 species in Europe in 9 days (or I should say 8 nights) please take a look! On the last page you can see the 2024 tour dates as well as a new, one off extension where we will be looking for two extremly rare European species in Northern Romania. These extensions can be taken separatly too.

Epic trip Sakertours! If 5 years ago you had told me you could see 60 species in a week in a single European country I would have said ‘impossible’. So it really is remarkable how good you have gotten at cleaning up like this! I hope other countries will follow.

Thanks Jon, We keep trying. Of course there is no tour you see everything and it will keep changing from year to year. But we have to be innovative! I am trying to persuade CB to put one together for Spain. I would be first to book! 🙂

Hahaha, it will happen! I reckon it will be a very difficult record to beat but hey ho, I am game!

Amazing journey, Sakertours! Five years ago, I would have claimed it was impossible if you had told me you could observe sixty species in one week in a single European nation. Thus, it’s quite amazing how proficient you have become at tidying up!

It appears that SakerTours’ September 2023 Romania Mammal Tour was an incredible success, as evidenced by the record-breaking 60 mammal observed in just 9 days (or 8 nights). This accomplishment indicates a high level of biodiversity and establishes Romania as a top choice for those who love mammals.
