Trip Report – Bolivian Cat Specialist Tour – Royle Safaris – October 2023

Back in October of 2023 Royle Safaris ran another successful cat focused mammalwatching trip to Bolivia. With 5 species of cat being seen (including one 24 hour period in Kaa Iya where all 5 species were seen!) and a great total of 33 species of mammals recorded. Highlights included the multiple Jaguar, Puma and Ocelots as well as Jaguarundi and Geoffroy’s cat which made up the 5 species of cats. Other mammals included 9 species of primate (Black Howler, Bolivian Red Howler, Azara’s Capuchin, Black-striped Capuchin, Bolivian Squirrel Monkey, Azara’s Night Monkey, Peruvian Spider Monkey, Chaco Titi and Black-tailed Marmoset), Bolivian river dolphins and Chaco endemics such as Southern Three-banded Armadillo and Chaco Titi.

We will be running two groups in October 2024, one is now full, but there is good availability on our second departure (17-29 October 2024), so if you are interested you need only email us at info@royle-safaris.co.uk and we can provide more info to you.
