Sakertours was formed in 1994 to offer birdwatching tours in Eastern Europe, especially Hungary and Romania.
In 2006 we were amongst the very first tour companies in Europe who started offering hide based nature photography tours. While managing our bear photography hides our attention turned more and more towards mammals. Janos Olah eventually started to create mammalwatching tours from 2020, and now we are offering a selection of fixed date mammalwatching tours in Romania!
Our most popular tour is the ’Romania Mammal Tour’ where we try to see as many mammal species as possible. This tour is run annually and we ususally offer an exciting extension to the main tour as well. We are also offering more specialized tours, like our regular ’European Mink Special Tour’ or the in 2025 the ’Special Mole Rat Romania Tour’.
We are happy to organize custom tours for groups or individuals as well! Please take a look at our website and pick your main interest whether it is mammalwatching or mammal photography. We have 30 years of experience organizing wildlife tours!
