Advertising: Zakouma National Park in Chad with Pictus Safaris, February & March 2024

Pictus Safaris are delighted to be returning to Chad’s incredible Zakouma National Park in 2024, with spaces available in both February and March. Zakouma is renowned as a huge conservation success story, featured in BBC’s ‘Planet Earth III’ series, and our 2023 visits enjoyed some of the finest savanna game-viewing in Africa. Our itineraries offer a seven-night stay in the park with a private vehicle set aside for us, with extended night drives with expert local guides. Mammal-watching highlights include the chance to view serval, wild cat, honey badger, caracal, striped hyena, aardvark, red-fronted gazelle, red-flanked duiker, lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and much more. For birders, attractions include Egyptian plover, standard-winged nightjar, black-breasted barbet and vast numbers of red-billed quelea and waterfowl.
This itinerary is priced at £7,250 per person sharing, with a £400 single supplement. This includes all meals and accommodation, drinking water, a return charter flight between N’Djamena and Zakouma, a private vehicle for our group throughout our stay and the services of an expert tour leader. More information can be found here.
Zakouma is one of the world’s great national parks and the wildlife viewing is spectacular. See my trip report with Pictus Safaris from from last year for a taste of what you might enjoy.
