Borneo

Adventure Alternative Borneo pioneered nature tourism to the now rightly famous Deramakot Forest Reserve in the Heart of Sabah.
Formed 7 years ago, AA Borneo specialises in group and private bespoke wildlife trips throughout Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo and has a sister company covering Indonesia.
It continues to diversify and search out new locations for prime Borneo wildlife species such as the Sunda Clouded Leopard, Bay Cat, Flat Headed Cat, Pygmy Elephant, Orangutan, rare Langur’s and Civets, Banteng and Binturong.
It is also launching in 2019 a pioneering fig planting program in conjunction with Quentin Phillips and BORA that hopes to establish a network of fig nurseries at key locations throughout Sabah.

India

Vana Safaris organises fully guided and semi-guided tours all over India, Nepal and Bhutan with expert guides and local trackers. We specialise in organising a wide range of mammal-watching/mammal-photography tours with special focus on endangered and range-restricted mammals such as the lesser cats of Indian Sub-continent (Asiatic Golden Cat, Mainland Clouded Leopard, Fishing Cat and more); bats; endemic mammals; Red Pandas; Binturong; big cats (Tiger, Snow Leopards, melanistic Leopard and more) & primates (Golden Langur, Lion-tailed Macaque, Bengal Slow Loris and more).
The guides & local trackers who lead the tours are researchers and passionate conservationists with excellent field knowledge. The owner participates at all stages of the planning and designs the tours with active participation from the trackers and the guides to make the tours productive and rewarding for the clients.
Follow us on Instagram to know more about our tours and enjoy the images from the tours.
*Mammal-watching tours are a new concept in India (and Nepal and Bhutan) and the national parks authorities are yet to open up to the idea of tourists entering a park in the dark – so tours are kept flexible & are subject to permissions from the authorities in some areas.

The 4 Indian Big Cats – A Magical Tour by Asian Adventures

Did you know India is one of the finest places on earth to see the Big Cats? Yes, of the five true big cats (Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Jaguar, Snow Leopard), India is home to 4 (all except Jaguar).

Asian Adventures specialises in the fully-guided tour – ‘The Four Big Cats of India – A Tour for Wildlifers’.

Here you might ask, how do we see the most difficult cat i.e. Snow-Leopard? Well, that’s what our speciality is. We’ve been the pioneers here. In the last 15 years we’ve conducted 48 tours with 100% success.

Our motto CONSERVATION FOR TOURISM, TOURISM FOR CONSERVATION created a harmonious ecosystem of logistics, local experts and knowledgeable help, tried & tested stake-outs, professional systems and a team that works behind the scenes 24×7.

Apart from the Big Cats, we weave in the abundance of other species of mammals and birds. Culture and heritage, food and folklore is part of the landscape and experiences that one cannot ignore.

Bespoke or set departures – there are options for you to choose from for the BIG CAT TOUR with Asian Adventures.
